RM2 Million ONLY? With a screw up so big Deloitte should have been put to sleep or banned from doing listed companies for a couple of years. SEC another toothless blaady fool. If small auditor with small screw up thay would have lost their license.

In fact SC should be fined for doing nothing “0” during Najib’s time. Where were they, fearful that they may be removed of their Job. SC should have done their job without fear. In fact AG should investigate each SC member for their in action during that material time and be charged for breach of their fiduciary responsibilities.

Deloitte should be thankful for such a small fine. Given the presumably handsome fee they received this is a small price. Indeed the firm as in the case of others had not expect the change of government hence the change of events. As in the case of previous audit firm, greed has increased their greed appetite and blinded their rationale. Despite the open secret over the ethical principles of 1MDB the firm as in the case of others had wished for extension of Najib patronage and profitable growth without ethical values.

Deloitte should be happy that the company is fined for such a small sum. The company has not acted professionally and had allowed 1mdb to cheat the public a large amount of money.

Yes, the government should review the measly fine on Deloitte. It should be much much heftier considering that the dereliction of care and duty by Deloitte has allowed scums like Najib and Jho Low to continue plundering public funds for longer than necessary before they are found out with their hands in the cookie jars, so to speak.

Deloitte should be deregistered or at least suspended for 5 years
