Gerakan Media Merdeka and the National Union of Journalists Malaysia (NUJM) have urged authorities to explain alleged actions taken against three journalists on scene at a karaoke centre in Cheras, a day after a reported riot that involved more than 50 masked individuals.

The groups were responding to Sin Chew Daily’s report yesterday that the trio, who were covering a follow-up to the incident, were ordered to delete all photos and videos taken at the scene.
