The wife of a former cabinet minister has come under police crosshairs after a report alleging she was plotting to topple the government and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Malaysiakini learned that she was the "influential individual" that Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail meant in his press statement earlier today, where he announced they were investigating an attempt to destabilise the country.
