Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim spoke with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Afghanistan’s acting prime minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund late last night to express Malaysia’s concern over the escalating tensions along their border.

During the phone conversations, Anwar underscored the importance of seeking a peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels and dialogue to prevent prolonged conflict that would only bring suffering to the people and undermine regional peace and stability.
