Umno Youth chief Akmal Saleh was urged by a leader from coalition ally MCA not to “exaggerate” the issue of KK Mart selling socks with the word Allah printed on them.

In a statement on Facebook, MCA secretary-general Chong Sin Woon said Akmal also should not “blindly” make boycott calls against the store chain, suggesting that such a move would hurt the country...

So will UMNO youth provide alternative employment for KK Marts employees? The joke may be the person responsible for such things not to happen was not sharp and focussed due to lack of sleep and food during this fasting month.

What is wrong with Akmal? Does he have anything against the NM? He behaves as if he is in and with the Opposition.

Granted that Akmal need the political exposure, being UMNO Youth Chief but only an Adun in Malacca but he does not have to go to the extreme of demanding 881 KK branches put up banners to apologise. He is making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Did KK mart ordered such socks with the words"Allah" printed or embroidered on it ? If not then Akmal is only doing it for personal gain, without even considering the consequences the nation will face. Recently there have been to much negative uprising or statements religiously inclined statements made by politicians that bring negative results to the nation. It creates fear and resentment in the hearts of foreigners. They must be wondering what is happening to our nation. In which direction is the nation heading if every trivial issue is made in to a reason to protest. We are the ones destroying this nation with our political inclination to seek some media space. It have to stop. We must grow uo and be matured to handle these issues. Not make it in to a media circus and create tension within the nation and also create uncertainty in the hearts of the foreigners

The world is in turmoil. High interest rate is slowing economies. Ukraine war, Gaza genocide, US China trade war, climate change reducing food supplies etc etc. As a small nation we are at mercy to all these major negative forces. And yet our leaders are fighting about misprinted socks, bak kut teh, new village, vernacular schools. See how inward looking are our politicians. It really fits the malay proverb " seperti katak di bawah tempurong " A nation full of frogs living and fighting each other under a coconut shell.

“We urge everyone regardless of their race, religion, or political inclination to take clear action and show KK Mart and its vendors that we cannot tolerate such an act.” I urge everyone regardless of their race, religion, or political inclination to take clear action and show UMNO that we cannot tolerate such a deliberately provocative act to attack this company that made an innocent mistake for your own evil political gain!

This KK Mart owner has unreservedly apologized for the mistake caused by his staff and/or vendor. Najib, who was convicted by 9 judges, has not tendered his apology and has the audacity to demand a full pardon. This Akmal fella is playing to the gallery. One day, the proud shall be humbled.

Last Wednesday, convenience store chain KK Super Mart & Superstore Sdn Bhd (KK Mart) apologised over the sale ........ Akmal, The founder of this supermarket has already apologized. That's the best any organisation can do. Imagine you are the owner of this supermarket and a political leader wants a further apology by placing a banner in all the 881 outlets. Don't you think its a bit too much? Just accept the apology and move on...... This supermarket is said to employ 5000 employees and if there is a boycott it will effect their sales. At the end the employees suffer. Now MCA has joined in saying that a boycott will hurt the economy. Since you are at it, please explain your rationale on this boycott to your 17.30% Merlimau Chinese voters. See what you get. Your actions seems to be the reason as to why UMNO will be wiped out in the next GE.
