1MDB TRIAL | Jasmine Loo testified that fugitive businessperson Low Taek Jho (Jho Low) threatened to make her life a "living hell" if she left Bangkok, Thailand and returned to Malaysia.

The former 1MDB general counsel told the Kuala Lumpur High Court that this was the reason that she only came back to Malaysia last year.

The poor girl only returned last July, ONLY AFTER Anwar became PM in Nov 2022!!! It shows the 'backdoor govt' after the Sheraton Move ALSO did not want to be open/frank about 1MDB, Najib and Corruption. GOD Help Malaysia...and Anwar to rid this nation of the systemic rot.

I don't think she's hiding in Bangkok. Expenditures are high in cities like Bangkok, Chiangmai, Hua Hin, Phuket, Pattaya, and Koh Samui. More likely she's hiding in the Northeast of Thailand or in Vientiane, Laos, where expenses can be lower. She's not telling the truth. In Laos and Cambodia, US$2,500 is sufficiently enough for food and allowances. Wet markets or farmers market can be sustainably cheap.

I bleed for Jasmine Loo’s sad story. After what happened to Kee Kok Thiam, everyone needs police protection. As for surviving on RM12k a year, this after she made RM45k monthly “working” at 1MDB. US$5m and US$10m for her take on the US4.5b scam. She claims she was hiding in Bangkok since. Earlier there were reports she saw the mastermind in Macao, and she applied for Cypriot passport so she could travel in the EU. One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble … 1984 mega song.

I hope she has the evidence and the courage to report this crime. If Clare Rewcastle Brown can be condemned in absentia for a minor research error then surely Jho Low can be tried in absentia without legal representation.

She is a liar 1. She left the country before the GE on Jho Low’s instruction to play it safe. Everyone on 1MDB left the country as well before the GE 2. She can’t sustain her daily life in Bangkok with $11,000 ringgit per annum. Bangkok is an expensive place for a foreigner. She must have left Malaysia with a large sum of cash, as it is not easy for a foreigner to open a bank account there or some local Thai there was providing her with shelter and financial support 3. She stayed in Thailand all through Covid. Her Malaysian passport should have long expired by then. So was she living illegally there or did she have another passport? Everyone knows that to stay in a hotel or rent an apartment as a foreigner, you need to constantly provide a current passport So why did she really come back? To put the final nail in Najib’s coffin on behalf of Low? She is much closer to Low that she make it out to be. After all, Low paid her at least $45,000 ringgit a month basically to prepare fraudulent legal paperwork Is Jho Low in Thailand? After all, he has Thai relatives on the maternal side. And it’s not easy to hide not just himself, but his wife, his children (who need to go to school) and his parents all in tow. Tell the truth Jasmine
