Nazri moots fixed parliamentary term to ensure stability

Ambassador to the US, Nazri Abdul Aziz, said he has urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to amend the Federal Constitution to fix parliamentary terms at five years.
Speaking to Astro Awani, Nazri said he suggested this to Anwar during a meeting on Friday.
"Five years means five years. We don't want a situation where a government collapses in three years," he said.
Nazri also said with such a law, the public can be assured that every government formed will last five years...
