National recycling rate up by 33.17pct this year

The national recycling rate has increased by 33.17 percent this year with the total amount of recycled goods reaching 4.626 million tonnes.
Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp) chairperson Rizalman Mokhtar said the increase was in line with the 12th Malaysia Plan’s target of reaching a 40 percent recycling rate by 2025.
