Parliament will convene on Dec 19, first agenda vote of confidence - Anwar

Newly sworn-in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Parliament will convene on Dec 19, and the first move would be a vote of confidence for his leadership.

Speaking at his first-ever press conference after his appointment as the country's 10th prime minister, Anwar said this is to prove the support he commanded, following the questions raised by his rival, Perikatan Nasional’s Muhyiddin Yassin over the legitimacy of his appointment.
