US to sponsor replacement of RMAF's long-range air defence radar in Labuan

The country’s air defence capability through the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base in Labuan will be enhanced with the plan to replace long-range air defence radar which is to be sponsored by the government of the United States, Dewan Rakyat was told today.

Deputy Defence Minister Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (above) said the sponsorship was made possible by the strategic Building Partner Capacity programme.
