Sebatik rep claims anti-defection oath invalid, made under duress
Sebatik assemblyperson Hassan A Gani Pg Amir admitted that he made an oath last year to resign from office if he left Warisan.
However, he claimed the pledge was made under duress and is thus invalid...

He had the choice of contesting as independent candidate and win on his own merit. His declaration now proved that he was not sincere when taking the oath with Warisan ( probably the same applied when he was taking the oath as ADUN, if he defected to another country ). Hewas making use of Warisan’s name to cheat the voters to be elected as ADUN, as he knew that he would be elected if not for voter’s trust on Warisan....
Zero logic on reasoning and defeat the whole purpose of oath. So anyone made an oath can later say the oath is invalid because he/she was forced to do so? So if I made an oath in court to tell the truth but can I say it’s invalid as I was forced to tell the truth? Mad mad world....
