Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri (above) said he had sent letters to several scholars over the matter, including the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb, Egypt Mufti Shawki Allam and Fatwa Council of the United Arab Emirates chairperson Sheikh Abdullah Ben Bayyah...
Am I supposed to be glad and relieved that ulamas the world over have given their imprimatur to the vaccine? Frankly, my dear, I wouldn’t give a hoot if they didn’t. Incidentally, why didn’t you guys approach our resident galactic champions on everything under the sun and beyond, Zakir Naik and Hadi Awang? I suppose then it would have been banned and everyone, including non-Muslims, would be compelled to turn to warm holy water.
