Opposition senators are calling on the Perikatan Nasional government to reconsider any plan it may have to appoint Bersatu man Rais Yatim as Dewan Negara president.

They claimed the Negeri Sembilan Bersatu chief was “not suitable” for the role, casting doubt on whether he would be able to build consensus among various senate members...
