Because that is where the more 'pious' go to 'liberalise' themselves from time to time.

The threat is unseen, unheard, imperceptible. So how do we know it exists? A fundamental [-ist] problem!

The Definition of Malay in Article 160 was created to give an identity to Muslims in Singapore and Malaya who were in these territories, either by birth or domicile, before Merdeka i.e. 31 Aug 1957. Their descendants are also Malay. The Definition is an aberration in law. It should not be in the Constitution. The Constitution is colour blind. Wannabe Arabs among Malays cease to be Malays under Article 160. Malays who leave Islam in Malaya also cease to be Malay. Malays in Singapore can leave Islam under Article 152 and still remain Malay.

The rule of law is the basis of the Constitution. The rule of law means the letter of the law, and the spirit, with greater emphasis on the latter. Article 3 is a standalone clause, an aberration in law in the Federal Constitution. Islam is not about rule of law. It does not recognise democracy, human rights, and the universality and commonality of citizenship. There are more important things to worry about in life than “insults” to Islam. There will be endless trouble in this country as long as so-called Malays harp on Islam, for no rhyme or reason, and harbour strong sense of proprietorship. Islam was created by the 3rd Caliph to give an identity to Arabs. He compiled and codified the Quran in Arabic from Aramaic and sources in other languages. There’s no reason for non-Arabs to be Muslim as the identity is about being Arab.

He should tell this to Hadi. “ Islam clearly forbids its people from spreading false news and defaming one another," he said. And tell this to the rest of the PAS Taliban idiots and any other religious leaning politicians. Makes you wonder what education these Sultans have received. Born with golden spoons in their mouths - amazing what moronic and medieval statements come out of them. Keep the peasants ill educated and rule them by fear. Sickening to see in the “new Malaysia”.

The main threat to Islam right now comes from PAS and UMNO, whose use of Islam for political gain can only pose a grave threat to the national religion. Especially when the political leaders are also supposedly religious leaders and then in turn condone politically expedient lying as acceptable. What nonsense is that. Where in the Quran does it say lying for any reason is acceptable. These people are a disgrace to their relgion. Their day of judgement will come. And none too soon!

"Islam clearly forbids its people from spreading false news." This bit difficult to believe since according to PAS, Islam allows lying. Does this mean that the Islamic Party of Malaysia does not know Islam?

Please go on, cause my little non-analytical mind can't make out what you're going on about. You start with government funding is political then go on a cryptic rant about scholarship and sermon texts and stuff...

"Sultan Sharafuddin said that he was informed that there were 45 deviant teachings decreed by the Selangor Mufti Department until December." - how can this be possible given the RMBillions being funneled from govt to JAKIM, having Malay Muslim as Mufti,PM and with His Higness's hand picked person as new MB? This MB is not effective and continues the practice done before by the previous MB, his mentor by producing SURAT TAYANG! Whenever we bring to his attention of an issue, he and his srtaffers will issue an edit to the Dept concern to take action and inform us! Most of the time , the matter ends there and the Dept doesnt even inform us and wonder what and how they keep him informed! Sack him!
