I think it's a good initiative to have this but please also make sure the highways are maintain well for public use. The current turn around time to get a replacement for the highway fixtures and fittings after an accident is really slow.

Believe what you like. And you will because you haven’t the imagination to do anything but that which you are told. Being against PH does NOT mean being for BN. It just means there is nothing to admire or respect about PH

This is a great start... don’t just criticise for the sake of it... be constructive, and we must be prepared to give some credit to the government where credit is due, especially if they can come up with good policies to benefit the people!?

Dear LGE, some may appreciate the reduced toll rates renamed as congestion charge. What we really need is a practical solution for our pathetic public transportation. We have a good flight connectivity and express buses to travel between states. But it is very pathetic when it comes to local public transportation. Please don’t only focus on KL. Improve all the other states as well.

While it is not perfect but tweaking the toll with peak hour usage does provide incentives to drivers and incentives changes behaviour. For this to be effective, there is a need to develop public transport system in an accelerated pace, allowing for road users to have more options than just gettimg into a car and contribute to congestion. While MRT/ LRT and monorails are better utilized now, their efficiency will quickly reach platou and soon the behaviour changes becomes not sustainable. One action I can suggest as a quick win is to invest in extremely efficient bus services including double deckers which allows executives and public to use it in lieu of driving, especially from location where there are no rail connection. This method has been very successful urban road utilization strategy in many metropolitan cities around the world. Currently the bus services are quite bad in KL. Executives and office workers see it as a low quality and unreliable service. Spurring up bus services and integrating them with train services will be great.
