Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak has dismissed allegations of money laundering involving RM15 million against his former media advisor Paul Stadlen and Umno lawyer Hafarizam Harun, calling the claims politically motivated.

Najib told Malaysiakini that the RM15 million was meant as payment to a company formed by Stadlen for "several years of work"...

So it looks like spin master Paul Stadlen is so magnanimous that he is prepared to wait several years to be paid. RM15 million is a lot of ringgit in anyone’s language. I don’t know Stadlen’s business style but Najib’s explanation for the payment is far-fetched and unbelievable. And why was the money paid through half past six Umno lawyer Hafarizam Harun’s trust account? I would love to see the contract between Najib and Stadlen. Also can Najib explain where he obtained the RM15 million in light of his earlier claims that he did not have money to pay his bail and had to borrow and beg from Umno supporters?

Takut apa pencuri ku? Stadlen would not flee immediately after you lost GE14 if he is innocent. You wanted to flee yourself from the country with the help of your pal Peter Sondak, too, remember?

Oh ! One more issue , did the law firm withhold income taxes for this 15m payment for services rendered in Msia and paid to a foreigner !!??? Alternative has this S declared in his income tax the full amount of income , personal or corporate ???? Income tax department for Public Interests should make a statement on this issue .

If, as Najib claims, the RM15 million was not paid by him, then why should it be deposited with his lawyers? Why did whoever paid Stadlen, not deposit the money with Stadlen's lawyers, on escrow? Najib must think the Rakyat are stupid!

Najib excuses are so unbelievable. The reason he has supporters is either they are stupid, family, friends or benefitted from him.

So the RM15m was not paid by Jibby...but came from his cheque account? The consultant wanted to be paid upfront, for "some years work"...wow, can i get that sort of contract? Didn't use government money...so who was Stadlen working for: UMNO, Jibby?...why would they need such a high priced PR consultant? The old adage applies: better to remain silent and let people assume you are stupid (or a liar), than to one your mouth and prove it
