This is a non-matter. There are so many serious problems in Malaysia-most important one is the the divided nation.

Kalil Gibran should have said scumno and Pus are notorious for their racial, religion bigoted policies for decades and they are the sole cause of the current divisive society in Malaysia. Your ignorance over this suggests that you still live in the deep dark cave and subject yourself to the mode of blatant denial.

In my dialogue with many chinese friends, I can safely say that the majority of them support china's claims simply out of feelings of chinese 'linkages' ! Just as they support that Taiwan is part of China. I wonder when they will start thinking that Singapore is also part of china???? Please tell me I am wrong!

The Sea was not named by China but by the Europeans who brought thier gunboats there in 19th Century and bullied China. Naming a place does not confer ownership. If it belonged to China in the 19th Century, the Chinese would have used big battleships then to sink the French,German, British and Dutch naval vessels in the 19th Century. But they had no such ships or cannon technology - which means that China DID NOT CONTROL the South/East China Seas then. Since then, the US and all the worlds ships and navies use these seas freely so it has become INTERNATIONAL WATERS. China has acted like a pirate nation, building up 7 rocky islets using dredges and killing millions of corals doing so and ignoring the UN Law of the Sea.

Mr Hew, it's now for you to make amend to help remedy and strengthen Malaysia-China trade and bilateral ties after the bungle made on the gas pipe lines and ECRL projects.

Mr Hew, it's now for you to make amend by helping to remedy and strengthen Malaysia-China trade and bilateral ties. But will the Chinese reciprocate after the bungles made on the cancellation of the gas pipe lines and ECRL projects? GOD bless!

Not that simple. China's 19th century history of gunboat diplomacy by European powers, the cession of HK and Macau and opening of Shanghai, the forced import of opium which debilitated the Chinese population, was humiliating. Then the late 19th Century evangelism by the US led to the Boxer Rebellion which was then harshly suppressed by the combined European forces. The US in 1823, themselves enacted the Monroe Doctrine, rejecting European colonialism in the Western Hemisphere. Its necessary to negotiate with China on the 12-mile zone around the 7 islets they militarized and secure Chinese guarantees of freedom of access while recognizing Chinese sensitivities.

Don't begrudge Hew on his new appointment and MCBC is an important platform for both Malaysia and China to create more opportunities for business and trade between the two nations. Bear in mind that China is a world super power and potentially it will surpass and replace US to become the largest world economy .Hew is the right candidate given his background for his appointment as the CEO of MCBC and he is not tainted like so many opportunistic scumbags found in ex scumno and bn.

Why do we have idiots like this in politics? I or the people will vote for him to be kicked out now. This statement is beyond stupid, he should go live in China. No matter what the bully country says, International law limits what you can call your own.
